Richardson, Elliot Lee
(1920-2000) Ричардсон, Эллиот Ли
Государственный и политический деятель, юрист. В 1957-59 помощник министра здравоохранения, образования и социального обеспечения. В 1965-67 вице-губернатор [Lieutenant Governor] штата Массачусетс. В 1967-69 генеральный прокурор штата [Attorney General of the State]. В 1970-73 министр здравоохранения, образования и социального обеспечения [Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare]. В 1973 назначался министром обороны [Secretary of Defense], затем министром юстиции [Attorney General of the United States], но вышел в отставку в связи с Уотергейтским скандалом [Watergate Affair]. В 1975-76 посол США в Великобритании, в 1976-77 министр торговли [Secretary of Commerce]. Принимал участие в переговорах по ОСВ-1 [SALT I], выступал за развитие сотрудничества с СССР. Единственный человек в истории США, занимавший четыре поста в кабинете [cabinet]
